Smukfest 2026

At this open-air music festival, set in the heart of the beech forest in Skanderborg, international acts, thousands of music fans and a truly unique festival atmosphere come together. When the stages come alive, the crowd moves to the beat and thousands of hands go up in the air, you find yourself right in the middle of one of Denmark’s most distinctive music festivals.

Capturing that energy for the live production was exactly the challenge. Our 4SKY and 2SKY camera systems were deployed across the festival grounds, moving above the crowd and towards the stages while people below danced, sang and celebrated – from sweeping wide shots to perspectives close to the performances.

This is where our SKY camera systems really come into their own at major festivals and live productions. 4SKY and 2SKY provide flexible camera movement across the venue, creating smooth and dynamic shots from perspectives that would be difficult to achieve from the ground. This not only captures the scale of the festival crowd and the performances on stage, but also the unique connection between music, light and audience.

Because in the end, it’s not about the technology above the crowd. It’s about the emotions below: the beat, thousands of voices, hands in the air and that special festival atmosphere that is difficult to put into words – but all the more powerful to capture in images.
