CABLECAM STUDIO: OUR MODERN CABLE CAMERA FOR LIVE APPLICATIONS

Our Cablecam Studio is a versatile camera system. It hovers high above the action, enabling completely new perspectives, capturing emotions and leaving every viewer in awe. This camera system is an in-house development manufactured in our company and is ideal for TV productions as well as live events of all kinds.

Advanced technology for impressive shots

The Studio Cablecam is manufactured directly in our Swiss headquarters in Aadorf. For the construction, we rely on modern building materials such as carbon, aluminum and ABS plastic. These materials keep the weight down while providing a beautiful system design. An important component of our Cablecam is the gyro-stabilized remote head, which enjoys 360° freedom of movement and always remains wobble-free. The camera system moves at a low volume and is therefore barely audible to the audience.

From point to point on a special cable

The Cablecam performs its movements between two special cables that are mounted one above the other. These ropes allow lengths of up to 250 meters, on which the rope camera overcomes gradients of up to 18 degrees and travels at speeds of 25km/h maximum. The system stops automatically at the end points, and certain positions can also be saved, which can then be approached automatically. Thanks to this flexibility and the technology we have developed, rapid camera movements with smooth transitions are possible! The special rope can be stretched between large trees or solid building structures.

Our service: dependable operation on-site

Whether it’s a stadium, TV studio or outdoor location, the Cablecam system gives you all the freedom you need and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, at temperatures ranging from -20°C to +40°C. Our well-rehearsed team takes care of the transport and the assembly on site. The control system is also in the expert hands of two technicians who control the movement of the camera trolley and the control of the camera mount, as well as the functions of the camera (for example, zoom and focus). All video data is transmitted via 3G SDI output and with latencies of less than 1ms – the Cablecam is therefore made for live productions!

zuverlässig und sicher

Excellent recording and flexibility are the most important features of our Cablecam, but safety and smooth operation also play a crucial role. The system is therefore supported by an additional safety rope and has certification for use above the public (DGUV regulation 17/18, formerly BGV C1). To ensure that the Cablecam can film continuously even during longer events, it is equipped with 2 to 4 rechargeable batteries that guarantee a 180-minute runtime. The rope camera does not have to be switched off to change the battery and is immediately ready for live operation again.
