Grönemeyer Concert with the 4SKY

At the beginning of the year, Herbert Grönemeyer was on tour with his “mittendrin – akustisch” production, accompanied by his band, choir and orchestra. At the concert in the Wiener Stadthalle, the stage was positioned right in the middle of the audience – perfectly reflecting the tour’s “mittendrin” concept.

For the production in Vienna, our 4SKY 3D camera system was in action. High above the audience, the camera moved through the arena, enabling shots from a variety of positions and heights.

The central stage in particular opened up unique possibilities for camera movement. The 4SKY was able to move three-dimensionally above the audience, switching between different perspectives of the stage, musicians and spectators. This made it possible to capture both the performance itself and the special connection between Herbert Grönemeyer and his audience.

The combination of a central stage, band, choir and orchestra also made the concert a special project from a production perspective. With the 4SKY, we were able to capture the production from above and add an additional perspective to many of the evening’s musical and emotional moments.
