During the traditional Fasnacht parade, the city of Basel transforms each year into a vibrant, living stage. Cliques move through the streets, elaborately decorated carnival floats roll past, and energetic Guggenmusik fills the city with rhythm and life. Drum rolls and piccolo melodies echo through the alleys, imaginative costumes shine in every color, and confetti floats through the air like a shimmering carpet.

Right in the middle of this colorful spectacle, our liftcam system comes into action. Thanks to the elevated camera position, we maintain a clear overview even in the dense Fasnacht crowds, rising to nearly three meters above the action. This unique perspective allows us to capture impressive footage that showcases both the scale of the Fasnacht parade and its many intricate details — from elaborately designed masks and costumes to emotional moments among spectators and, of course, the ever-present flying confetti.
